New project WELL on its way. I will have in-progress pictures updated to this thread in a week or so.

I am loosely basing my project on Non Fujita's S14.

the project is a Fujimi S14 silvia, with a Tamiya R33 GTR bumper grafted on, S15 spec-R sideskirts custom fit to the S14, and a one-off custom rear bumper.

all of the above modifications have been performed and one light coat of primer has been applied. At this point I will take pics for you when the primer is dried. for now, heres some pics of the car with the same front end I am trying to duplicate. I will most likely go with Tamiya bright red for the color.

It's amazing isn't it? Non was one of the first stateside with the Nissan bug and after all this time his car is still one of the tightest around. This should be a good project.

it is.. He's definately got style. if you look at the pics you can see theres no intercooler, he hadn't even swapped his KA24 engine out yet during that photo shoot.

I will not flare the fenders or add the additional lip to the GTR front facia. I am looking for something a little more.. factory. I've used ONLY actual Nissan bodyparts from other Nissans. Im taking the lines I like from other cars and blending them into this car.

Got some pics up today.

you can see the front portion of the S15 sideskirt being extended and blended in. I used tamiya epoxy putty for the puttywork this time.

the rear portion of the skirts were extended also. I centered the sideskirt and extended each end.

here you can see the rear bumper, I basically cut apart a bumper from the Fujimi S15 K's kit, and used the parts to beef up this S14 bumper.

heres the bumper before I attach it. its already been (cut from a tamiya R33 GTR, cut in half, decreased its width, reassembled.. I wish the pic would have been sharper.

Cool project, you don't use the original fixing of the bumper is maybe easier to attach it?

I've put R32 headlights on a S14 (before facelift) but I didn't think adapt a R32 bumper on this car.... maybe later ;)

You ccan use the SAS nismo 400R body kit for the bumper,fender flares

looks like it will be pretty straight forward so Im not too concerned.

spoonman- no real plans for the hood. open for suggestions though.
I would either paint the model tamiya bright red, leave the hood alone, or Im
considering going with a tamiya gunmetal/lite gunmetal and doing SAS carbon fiber hood. :dunno:

toyotaGT1- I have that SAS kit. I planned to use it on the R33 GTR kit I butchered for the front bumper

Factory S33 ? Yeah. I say go light or dark gunmetal with lots of clear, and loads of wax for that shine, and CF hood. I been subscribing to SS for a while, and this year no free calender for me :(

I agree, Silvias don't really need that much flare. I've always liked that car. If you could match the color on the original car, I think it would look cool.

Hi all. Update today. Bodywork complete, painted Tamiya Bright Red TS-49. 6 coats. going to order tamiya wax and polish and go at it p-man style.

finished product will have carbon fiber hood. I am leary of using SAS carbon fiber this time, it may look too light. I want a dark look to the components like hood, spoiler, wheels etc.. Would you guys recommend the SMS carbon fiber decal instead for this model?

there will be a GT wing of some sort, and I like the wheels that are on it now, but I will most likely switch gunmetal TE37's like these:

dont worry about any frame you can see through the front bumper. that work is yet to be done, there will be an intercooler there etc..

Keep the current wheels! I really like this Silvia, the R33-style front end is perfect and the side skirts are very tasteful.

Looking good and I'm loving the Workmeisters. Great wheel style if you ask me.

Very nice work! Extremely clean! I have an extra Silvia model that I don't know what to do with, I was playing around with the idea to Non Fujita's car, but I'll do something else since it'll basically end up like yours. Very very very nice work again.
