Anyone know about installing a cd player in a 2001 neon? If you do I could really use some help. I have a jensen cd player and I already cut the wires to the stock tape player in the neon. Now I need to hook up the wires. The wires are completely different colors in the neon then the jensen wire harness. Anyone know what colors match up? I tried everything and even blew a fuse. :uhoh:

I have a problem with the wiring as well for my 2001 neon.
I have a pink wire that shocked the hell out of me when i was hooking up my cd/am fm.
The stock am fm tape player's lcd lights blink on and off. When I turn the car on, I hear this tick tick tick sound from the front speakers but that's all. So I bought a new deck and I have all the colors Red-pos Battery
Black-ground
Yellow-ignition
Blue-remote For Amp
Grey,white,green,purple-speakers
The Wire With Stripe Is Ground For The Speakers
PLUS the PINK ONE.
Since I got shocked I decided to leave the stock deck in the car == so after I got it all back together..... the interior dome light and trunk light don't work and the word "fuse" is displayed where my mileage usually is.
HELP

I've found that buying a wiring harness so you don't have to cut any of the factory wiring is much easier. All you have to do is follow the diagram that comes with the harness to connect the aftermarket player to the factory wiring. After that, its just all plug and play.
