Green beast - Supra project!hrmodeler 02-18-2004, 09:16 AM I just started to work again on my Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT but because of bad decals I decided to convert it to street car. I decide that this time car will be in other caolor than blue http://www.scaleracecars.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif and I choose nice green paint in auto color shop. Here it is how it looks after first paint. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/32140toyota.JPG GT-Alex 02-18-2004, 09:28 AM It looks very nice so far ! tonioseven 02-18-2004, 11:52 AM Green is cool!! :sunglasse aviv 02-18-2004, 12:16 PM cool man !! i want to see the proggress!! vwman 02-18-2004, 12:21 PM Awesome!! Looks great though, I like how the green isn't too bright or too dark. hrmodeler 04-05-2004, 08:53 AM Couple more photos. Chasis is almost done, and interior is just started. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/32140P1010058.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/32140P1010057.JPG Hiroboy 04-05-2004, 08:58 AM Looking Good, what wheels do you have fitted, or are they the standard ones? turbo type-r 04-05-2004, 09:03 AM its so clean just like that outkast song just so fresh so clean hrmodeler 04-05-2004, 09:05 AM Looking Good, what wheels do you have fitted, or are they the standard ones? Yes Steve. Only I will replace tires with some other to not be slicks. All other rims which I have in stock don't look fine on it. supermod04 04-05-2004, 09:06 AM weres the rest of the motor, all i see is a block LOL, well look great, any more shots of thee body? hrmodeler 04-05-2004, 09:10 AM weres the rest of the motor, all i see is a block LOL, well look great, any more shots of thee body? Body is on hold until I resolve some mistakes. supermod04 04-05-2004, 09:16 AM well looks great, cant wait for more hrmodeler 04-07-2004, 04:37 AM Can flames can (looks fine) go on this car and this color? I don't have any other street decals to put it on. If can, big or small? http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/32140P1010062.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/32140P1010063.JPG sjelic 04-07-2004, 04:44 AM small one for sure and colour match is good. Regards, Sasa hks_booster 04-07-2004, 08:06 AM looks sweet! but no flames. flames is for american musclecars. jdmhotrod 04-07-2004, 08:26 AM but no flames. flames is for american musclecars. flames look good on any car as long as the flames are the right style and color. but i agree that these particular flames dont look right on this car, maybe some pearl silver or blue flames the cover the intire front of the car. hrmodeler 04-07-2004, 08:30 AM Too bad that I can't find any livery for modern cars. Some Tribal design will look nice on it. In NFS Unlimited are much design too choose. :-) sjelic 04-07-2004, 10:00 AM I don't think that this flames look bad, they are realy natural and my friend put similar to real Alfa 156 lowerd with 17" wheels and I can asure you that everybody was looking this car, you can call me old school but I don't dig that modern F&F stuff on cars. Regards, supermod04 04-07-2004, 10:03 AM DONT RUIN THA CAR WITH FLAMES it would look better ifyou were to add sponcer decals on ti and going racing how it should be. the flames no. just mke it racing style h_m_angel 04-07-2004, 11:12 AM That car looks awesome the way it is, you don't need any flames. I love cars that don't look all cluttered up with decals and things. If you need something else, try getting some sponser decals from pcmodeler.com. They're great! Also, I am going to try this project in the near future with the sard supra. I plan on using the interior out of Tamiya's street version of the supra. You might consider giving this a try althought the car will still look great as is. Awesome job! weaponCIVIC 04-07-2004, 05:03 PM i think the colors dont match at all! paint some dark green flames on there and it would look phat. Slipknot 04-07-2004, 07:19 PM yeah dont put the flames on there unless its like dark green like weaponCIVIC said hrmodeler 04-08-2004, 02:20 AM Thanks guys! I will leave it clean as is. GvEman 04-08-2004, 10:57 AM Hello! if you want you can put som kind of falmes on it and then paint it over with the base color... then you will get discreet flams... i think.... i have just seen it on a real car. DJPaul 04-08-2004, 11:52 AM Car looks great. You could've put some decals, but I would recomend just bit darker or lighter green or blue, then I would look just stunning. I saw car in real like this. Look very nice (when not covered in durt). D[X]P 04-08-2004, 09:32 PM yeah, flames would look bad! :nono: D[X]P 04-08-2004, 09:34 PM I don't think that this flames look bad, they are realy natural and my friend put similar to real Alfa 156 lowerd with 17" wheels and I can asure you that everybody was looking this car, you can call me old school but I don't dig that modern F&F stuff on cars.
