The cruise (speed) control in my 98 Grand Caravan AWD will work ok for about 5 minutes then turn itself off. This happens whether or not the cruise is actually set. Just hit the on/off switch to get the cruise light to come on. After about 5 minutes, the light will go off. The only way to get it back on is to turn the engine off and back on. If I set the cruise while it is on, it will hold speed and work ok until it turns itself off. Any ideas?

Clockspring under the steering wheel?

Clockspring under the steering wheel? It was recently replaced by Dodge (recall) I'm not sure if the cruise did this before they replace the clockspring. I didn't think the clockspring could do something like this, but there aren't many parts in this system.
