Finished - Honda S2000 - WILD!CADguy 02-18-2004, 08:55 AM Here's my latest car. And my personal favorite, right now. I originally was going to make the 2F2F pink S2000. But changed my mind half way through. I modified the SAS transkit to create the Veilside front end. I was going to modify the side skirts and rear also, but changed my mind after completing the front end. This was my first use of SAS transkit, and it was a great experience. The wheels are AVS Model 5's painted black. I used some Brembo disks, and drilled out all the holes. The mufflers are scratchbuilt, and carbon fiber'd with the stock tips. A front splitter was also added. The most obvious addition was the Tiger paint job. The inspriation for this car was the Jada Toys 350Z show car. The fade job was much easier than I thought it would be. Just took some patience. So does it GROWL or MEOW? Enjoy. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680s2kfinal_01.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680s2kfinal_02-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680S2kfinal_03-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680s2kfinal_04.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680s2kfinal_04b.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680s2kfinal_05.jpg hrmodeler 02-18-2004, 09:18 AM It growl definetely! Growl. AsongKar 02-18-2004, 09:33 AM oh my goodness....the design is simply nice!!!!!!!as for the bumper it is not similar with the veilside one(sorry being too franked)...i understand the real one have many complicated parts...nevertheless a good try and overall it does not growl or meow....VROOMS!!!:bigthumb::bigthumb::bigthumb: ywwong 02-18-2004, 09:40 AM very interesting!! njh 02-18-2004, 09:54 AM Very nice paint job! Definitely a growl. :smokin: Way better IMHO than the pink version. Are the stripes hand-painted or decals? Veyron 02-18-2004, 10:31 AM That's really cool! I'll be watching for the 'Honda's Gone Wild!' video! :cwm27: Forhod 02-18-2004, 11:11 AM Great paint work and very nice S2000! labandabonnot 02-18-2004, 11:13 AM GroôOÔÂAâarrrrrr!!!!!! Aircraft modelers will love that "Tiger Meet" specimen! And even if the wing can seem a little too much, it's quite a great "Flight Stimulator"!!! lol! CADguy 02-18-2004, 11:16 AM Are the stripes hand-painted or decals? The stripes are decals. I bought a sheet of all black decal, and cut them to shape. They didn't react well to clear well. I did the roof first, and a couple of the stripes broke up. So I put 6 mist/light coats on the body over a 2 day period and let those dry well before spraying 2 thicker coats. It came out with a decent shine without polishing, so i didn't polish it. I'm too nervous I'd sand through a decal. the bumper it is not similar with the veilside one It's about as close as I could get it. I used 3 horizontal bars instead of 2. I had problems with 2 flexing, and looking curved and not flat, 3 was stronger and strait. It is very complex, and I'm happy with it http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680DSCF0017.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680352810_19_full.jpg flyonthewall 02-18-2004, 11:26 AM Awesome work! vwman 02-18-2004, 11:33 AM Coool!! I absolutely love it! Usually not a fan of crazy paint on street cars, but of this, I am definately a fan! Keep it up, CADguy, you send some of the coolest models our way. That car would be a much better choice than a Corvette for our homecoming football game, a cooler car in my book, and somehow oddly appropriate.... That's so cool, man...! what next? turbo type-r 02-18-2004, 03:33 PM simply magnificent ! RaceMySS_454 02-18-2004, 06:22 PM It's grrrrrrrrreat!! i hate u i was going to say that  Toyotagt1 02-18-2004, 06:35 PM great work from you! SeCrEtMoDdEr 02-18-2004, 06:39 PM its nice man, i think you should have lowered it, and its missin sum details on the kits, but you did a REALLY nice job. especially with the grill part. NICE, not a fan of the zebra stripes tho :/ ImolaEK 02-18-2004, 06:56 PM Love it, i disagree with you Secret, Zebra stripes look real sexy :iceslolan CADguy 02-19-2004, 12:13 AM Wow, I think this is the best response I've received on a car yet! Thanks for all of the good reviews guys! Vric - Here is a pic of what the front end looked like before paint. The putty is Sqadron green. the rest was made with various pieces of styrene. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680progress.JPG Willimo - After I read your Sig. I thought you may like this one. Thanks for all the nice comments on my builds. As for what's next, I've been working on a Testarossa. It will be my first red Ferrari. But not Italian red. SeCrEtMoDdEr - I think the front end may get dropped some soon. The more I look at it, the more the gap between the tire and top of wheel well bothers me. Here's a pic I took of all my import tuners. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/61680Tuners-med.JPG Thanks again guys! :naughty: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
