fan setting problem

I am having a problem with my fan settings. I can't to the setting on 1,2,3 but it will work on 4. I some times get really hot in the winter or really cold in the summer. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

oh, sorry i forgot to put what type of car i have. I have a 1994 honda accord that i am having a problem with on this forum, sorry, i forgot to put it in. I also have a 1992 pathfinder as well, and i am having problems with that too. but don't worry about that. I keep forgeting my about my profile.

on my 94 accord i had fan control knob broken, part that seat on shaft cracked so it sliding over shaft without changing fan setting.

pull it off and see if there any cracks.

i tryed and i found no crack. do u guys think it could be my blower?

I have a 94 accord, doing the same thing. dealership said it was a resistor pack, located on the top of the blower. But I haven't found it yet. Blower is located under passenger side dash I can see that, I just haven't found that resistor pack yet
