49 merc with Chop Top

This is my new proyect for the next model show in october. The theme for the show will be Hot Rods.

So far I choped the top the equivalent of three inches.

I will french the headligths and integrate the front end rear roll pans to the body.

Maybe i will leave the car in gray or black primer with some scallops.

sweet, I'm doing a similar project. I'm going to model mine like Jesse james's 54 chevy. going to paint it flat black/grey and slam the ass.
I think that with the chop on the top it would look good in a colord primer like a tan or maroon.

Everyone is doing this project! This is the 3rd merc custom I have seen on here lately and I have been inspired! I just ordered one yesterday. More pics please!!!

californian suede looks awesome on mercs. with some nice contrasting scallops of flames.

Another update for this project.
Here are a few pictures of the engine and interior, not completed yet, but nearly.
Also the body was painted with Testors Pearl Black. Pictures of the body soon. :iceslolan
