86 300zx electrical dash problems :banghead: i've been trying to fix this dast for a long time, the dash worked last summer, but the gas meter didn't, not nothing whatsoever will work, the tachometer, or the speedometer. The turn signals lights still work on the dash. I can't seem to find the problem. I've already checked the fuses, but there are none of the dast, at least none that i can find. I took them all out and checked anyway. :disappoin

yeah probably but consitering i did that in about 5 minutes and i have no clue whatsoever how this whole site works, no i didn't post it in that forum. I'm sorry if you have a problem with it that's your problem. I came to this site to get help, not to get yelled at for posting something in the wrong forum.

trying to help you out bro, not bash on you for posting in the wrong forum., click the link that says Automotive Forums.com, then goto nissan>300zx, im sure someone can help you there.

If this is an electronic dash board, the problem is with the modulator board that controls it. Over time the board get's cracks in the solder joints where the harness plugs in (we assume because of vibrations). The board needs to be carefull examined and repaired at by someone who is qualified to repair boards.
