Hi, i have owned this car for a year now and it has idle problems. It will sometimes idle at 200rmp, 800rpm to 2000rpms or bounce around i dont know what the problem is please help. I just put in a new cluch about 2 years ago and i got on the gas in 5th gear a couple of nights ago and it slipped do u think the cluch could be going out again or could it be something else? thanks.

The clutch needs to be replaced, but it may not be worn out. It's possible your front seal on your trans is leaking, and the clutch is slipping because it's got gear lube on it. Regardless, it has to be replaced. A clutch set isn't that expensive, I believe they run about $135.

I'm not sure exactly how your idle speed control is set up. I have a 92, and the manual I have stops at 94. I don't want to give you bum advice.

I would suggest getting a Haynes manual for your car. They run about $15, maybe less. It should detail your throttle body and the idle speed control mechanism. My guess would be that cleaning this mechanism up might solve your problem. That, however, is only a guess.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck

Well is your car a turbo or NT? It could be as simple as a vacuum leak around the throttle body (TB), listen for leaks in that area especially where there are gasket seals. Good Luck
