A couple of weeks ago I noticed that when driving my car over 40mph and then applying the brakes the front of the car, including the steering wheel would shake uncontrollably. I'm taking her in to the dealership tomorrow..any clues as to what this may be???

Whoa. Sounds like a warped rotor. Do you ride the brakes, race, or live on any very large hills? Neons aren't known for that problem, but it can happen to any car.

So I just came back from the dealership and indeed, it was a warped rotor. They resurfaced them, and she driving like new. I asked why the rotor's warped and he said it could be a number of reasons. I only commute 1 mile to work so I don't think that riding the brakes was a valid explaination. I live on the shore and he mentioned that sometimes the salty air can get in between the rotors and cause friction when the breaks are applied causing a warping over time. Thanks for your reply!
