A Little Something I Started This Weekend (R34 GTR)UKSupraboy 02-15-2004, 05:27 PM After recieving a nice big box of the new Aoshima wheels, I decided that I should really build a road car, been a while now. Not doing too much to it, big intercooler, induction setup, carbon bonnet, modified Evo VII rear spoiler, exhaust and of course the wheels (painted in gun metal). Hope you like it. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/40394IM001444.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/40394IM001443.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/40394IM001442.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/40394IM001441.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/40394IM001440.JPG Richie 86_SR5 02-15-2004, 05:31 PM looks cool. nice wheels, the wing flows well with the body lines of the R34. robrex 02-15-2004, 06:25 PM Looking Good !! SonyMobile 02-15-2004, 07:29 PM Looks nice, is this the fujimi kit or the Tamiya version? UKSupraboy 02-15-2004, 07:41 PM It's the Tamiya V-Spec II kit. Richie youngdrifter_x 02-15-2004, 07:51 PM thats so nice! i like the spoiler. did it come with it? AsongKar 02-15-2004, 09:29 PM but why evo VII spoiler??????you shd put a gt wing or stock spoiler...other than that everything looks nice.... UKSupraboy 02-16-2004, 12:32 AM but why evo VII spoiler??????you shd put a gt wing or stock spoiler...other than that everything looks nice.... I had one lying around j/k. For my taste, Larger solid wings suit Skylines better. The original is a bit too subtle and GT wings are getting a bit over used, particularly as it will built as a daily driver, you know, down the supermarket with the kids in the back. Richie willimo 02-16-2004, 01:03 AM So.... what supermarket do you go to? Looking great. I like the wheels and the spoiler. Not a big fan of the giant hole in the front, but with an intercooler behind, it should look good. Ferrari TR 02-16-2004, 12:35 PM Humn.... I think I saw a racing style 'kiddy' seat in one of the seat catalogs. :p Maybe a 1/43 scale racing seat... D[X]P 02-16-2004, 02:16 PM wow, the body is so nice! I think this wil turn out to be a sick car! turbo type-r 02-16-2004, 05:04 PM where can i get those wheels ? rx7king 02-16-2004, 05:25 PM that looks sweet tonioseven 02-16-2004, 06:40 PM I love it!!:sunglasse I like the wing choice!:) UKSupraboy 02-17-2004, 10:10 AM Thank you for all the replies. TurboTypeR - The wheels are talked about in This (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=182925) thread. I ordered them from HobbyWorld (http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seeke.asp?seek_code=ABK132985). I hope that is of some help. Richie AsongKar 02-17-2004, 10:22 AM okie understood :iceslolan UKSupraboy 02-19-2004, 07:48 AM Not done too much more over the last coupla days. Have carbon fibred the hood and wing. I think the wheel colour and carbon look great together. Quick question, I have used Tamiya silver and Scalemotorsport carbon decal, will Tamiya clear be OK? I have never cleared over decals this size before. Thanks Richie http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtr1_jpg-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtr2_jpg-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtr3_jpg-vi.jpg UKSupraboy 02-19-2004, 10:34 AM Here I am again, 'post whoring'. Been working on the Skyline again today. The back suspension, wheels etc has been fitted but the front is not complete yet. Fitting the rear required drilling away the hub thingy in the back of the wheel and also the front surface of the hub on the brake disk. Pretty easy after a bit of thought and consideration. The front is pretty much the same, just the brakes to modify now. http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels001-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v49/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels002-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v45/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels003-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels004-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v45/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels005-vi.jpg http://images4.fotki.com/v44/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels006-vi.jpg Hope you like it so far, Richie jgmodelcars 02-19-2004, 10:36 AM cool, i think that it looks great, as for tamiya clear.... i duno never used it, i'd say go with wax maybe. keep up the good work! D[X]P 02-19-2004, 07:32 PM :smokin: :smokin: NICE!! blueboost 02-19-2004, 07:52 PM EXCELLENT work so far. very tastefull color scheme, rims etc.. hrmodeler 02-20-2004, 04:38 AM EXCELLENT work so far. very tastefull color scheme, rims etc.. :iagree: UKSupraboy 02-21-2004, 05:36 PM Hi folks, made a bit more progress. And nice rims, and i dont usually like Skylines............. D[X]P 02-21-2004, 08:08 PM The more i see it the more i like it tpliquid 02-21-2004, 09:13 PM very nice i like the wheels looks good witht he car remus_nl 02-22-2004, 01:51 PM cool project very nice build for so far keep posting pics!!! UKSupraboy 03-04-2004, 01:52 PM Getting closer to completion now. Just a few small jobs to do. Have also carboned the mirrors ready to go on and the under tray parts. There is a large intercooler in there but is covered by the mesh (mesh would be a legal requirement over here so I put it in). Decided on Black/Blue for the interior. SRI for bad quality pics. http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels001-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v52/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels002-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v52/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels003-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels004-vi.jpg tonioseven 03-04-2004, 03:32 PM Nice!:sunglasse Jurva 03-04-2004, 05:21 PM It look's like it's missing something from the front bumber. Maybe a lip. Anyway, great! primera man 03-04-2004, 06:09 PM Nice choice for wheels !! D[X]P 03-04-2004, 06:33 PM lower it! 86_SR5 03-04-2004, 09:24 PM Cool, but why is mesh required? It isn't here. UKSupraboy 03-05-2004, 10:09 AM Here are the final pics. In answer to 86_SR5, when importing a Jap car to the Uk, it requires an SVA test to make make sure it conforms to UK and EU standards. Part of this test requires that over sized openings on the front of the car have a 'securely attached mesh' to prevent children getting shredded. I had this problem with my Supra coz it had an after market front end. Not sure if you can get away with removing it for future testing though, may be possible to get away with it. Anyway, here are the pics:- http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels001-1-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels002-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels003-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v62/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels004-1-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v56/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels006-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v56/photos/5/51677/710324/gtrwheels007-vi.jpg aviv 03-05-2004, 10:47 AM nice!!! great proggress SchuberT 03-05-2004, 10:57 AM well i'm not quite feeling the color of the underpanels... but other than that this is one badass build Bilson8tor 03-05-2004, 01:56 PM cool, nice job, i cant wait for mine to come in, i ordered it almost a week ago and it still isn't here yet:( 86_SR5 03-05-2004, 04:42 PM Cool. Well, I do like the large opening like chris did on the nemesis car. The grille adds a nice touch. I wonder if I would have to cover mesh on the intercooler if I imported like an R32. blueboost 03-05-2004, 05:37 PM nice detail work. I like the color and the rims.. Im not sure Im feeling the front so much though. :dunno: D[X]P 03-07-2004, 11:18 AM I love it but im not feeling the bigass mesh....and the under panel Other than that, its a sick ride SpoonMan Dos 03-07-2004, 01:47 PM I like it! The carbon kevlar gives it a unique look, and the wheels are the bomb. :iceslolan sugarfree 06-29-2004, 04:48 AM hi... can i hav a closeup shot of one of the rims??? thx a lot. they looks nice... ol' dude 06-29-2004, 08:27 AM Nice color choice!
