Lowrider entry: full custom 63Zwaag 02-15-2004, 05:12 PM here's my late entry. It's a 63 impala, full custom interior, suicide drivers door, and a walk-thru trunk http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/32169low4-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/32169low3-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/32169low2-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/32169low1-med.jpg 86_SR5 02-15-2004, 05:36 PM This is a newbish question, what's a walk-thru trunk? Camber 02-15-2004, 05:46 PM This is a newbish question, what's a walk-thru trunk? I believe it is how the rear seats are sanded down even with the trunk bed. JBarry 02-15-2004, 05:50 PM Very interesting concept. I don't understand the 'why' of it all but it's interesting. Especially when even a dwarf would have to stoop down to get through it. J. Barry 86_SR5 02-15-2004, 06:24 PM ooo, thanks camber. got any ide for some nice pearly paint? Zwaag 02-15-2004, 07:09 PM paint-wise it's gonna be the same color as the chassis. As for the walk-thru, their really is no piont to it, it's just a show car. lowcrome 02-15-2004, 07:15 PM well from what i know a "walk through" trunk is just when the interior has a opening into the trunk like this http://www.lowridermag.com/features/0301lrm_funky12_zoom.jpg http://www.lowridermag.com/features/0301lrm_funky06_zoom.jpg but what do i know im just addicted to lowriders :\ Zwaag 02-15-2004, 07:19 PM yeah, that's the basic idea, but this is more of what I'm modelling it after(and I think this is also called a walk-thru): http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/32169ae_backside-med.jpg Zwaag 02-15-2004, 07:29 PM oh and btw, I'm also addicted to lowriders, I've already built/owned 2 in 1:1 scale and I just turned 18 last July lowcrome 02-15-2004, 08:23 PM oh and btw, I'm also addicted to lowriders, I've already built/owned 2 in 1:1 scale and I just turned 18 last July well im 14 and broke but il be there sumday :) Zwaag 02-15-2004, 08:48 PM lol, me too Purpura Delujo 02-15-2004, 11:21 PM I'm also addicted, but have not built one yet, my first car will be a lowrider, my second will be a lowrider, and I'm going to get into a line of work just to work, on lowriders. I'm 16 and broke, so I guess we all have something in common, got any photos or can you tell us about those 2 lowriders you built zwaag? BTW its a 64 man, I like the trunk alot though. that Funky 51 is a killer too. I'll be hanging around to see more photos! JBarry 02-16-2004, 01:21 AM Those photos rule! Wow that purple and blue job is to die in. I'm 49 and broke too! I'm so poor I can even buy a lowrider kit and have to hack up a poor Charger to get low. hehe :) Kick ass Zwaaq! I like your style. J. Barry Zwaag 02-16-2004, 08:22 AM Im at school now so no pics, but I can describe my 2 cars for you guys. My first was a burgandy 91 Honda civic. It had a 2-pump hydro set-up and 13 inch crome and gold no-name wires and whitewalss(the kind that stick out a little from the fenders) My 2nd car was a black 90 vw jetta. It had the 2-pump from the civic and 14in all chrome wires and whitewalls(they stuck out too). Also it had 2 black racing seats which I kno are weird for a lolo, but the interior was light grey so it looked pretty cool. Purpura Delujo 02-16-2004, 08:58 PM Sort of euro styles. I guess euro lowriders are the step up from people who like imports (cough) to get into lows. Zwaag 02-17-2004, 08:57 AM for me it's the other way around, I just never had enuf money to get a traditional low vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
