Front diff vent ?

Took out my radiator to rplace it. Came out easy enought, under the :screwy: bottom radiator hose was a small 1/4" hose just laying there. Looks like it go's to the front diff. Is it the vent hose ( seems rather long for that ) or a vaccum line, also looks like there was no clamp to it.

BTY It's a 95 Grand 4.0 Quadra-trac

Could it be the drain line off the bottom plug for the rad? It probably came off during some previous job and has been sitting there. Check the drain plug to see if it fits.

Many Jeep front and rear differentials have a vent hose. Its so water does not get into the differentials during off road water crossings. If you find one, just make sure it is secure and the end is routed as high off the ground as you can reasonably make it.
