View Full Version : Jeep throttle body on Neon Jeep throttle body on Neon mikeypooh1 02-14-2004, 03:40 PM Does anyone know if this is true? What is the exact year & model I need, and what mods do I need to do? I would apreciate any input. :banghead: Scatch! 02-15-2004, 03:26 AM Yes, you can. It is easier for me to find a link for you than to write it all out, so here you go: http://www.neons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25618 Have fun! :D rolnaldo33 02-16-2004, 08:36 PM sounds like a cool mod, and cheap, but will 3mm bigger make much of a difference? Scatch! 02-16-2004, 10:41 PM 3mm? If you're going from a MTX TB (49mm) to a 60mm ATX Jeep TB, it's an 11mm difference. Even if you go from a ATX TB (52mm) to the smaller MTX Jeep 56mm TB, it's 4 mm. That said, if you have some serious mods it will make a big difference. On a stock motor, a larger TB will just kill your low-end. rolnaldo33 02-17-2004, 09:34 PM go to http://www.neons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25618 it only describes the tb as a 3mm difference. While it's fresh in my mind, I'll give you notes on the procedure to swap from an MTX (49mm) throttle body to an ATX (52mm). (i just pulled it from the site, save you some loading time.) Scatch! 02-17-2004, 09:49 PM Yes, but we were talking about Jeep ---> Neon TB swap, not MTX Neon ---> ATX Neon TB swap. When you change the subject on us, keep us all in the loop. ;) rolnaldo33 02-17-2004, 09:55 PM ok, im lost, you gave a link (http://www.neons.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25618) i followed the link, and thats where i got my info from, which is where i was refering to the whole time. Scatch! 02-17-2004, 10:05 PM OK. Look down a little further on the page where it says "Jeep Throttle Body Swap" in bold letters. What you were looking at was the MTX ---> ATX TB swap at the top. No biggie. But they ARE very different jobs. :) rolnaldo33 02-18-2004, 03:19 PM OH!!!, oops, sry, i thought all the posts were about the same tb, guess i should read a bit better Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
