M3 engine swap- euro M3 motorfastncuban 02-13-2004, 03:38 PM has anyone here done a us version to euro version motor swap on a e36 m3?? i was wondering if anyone knew where i could find that motor...i hear its alot better than the us model..and it supposably has 321hp vs 240hp. if sum1 could get me a price or a place 2 find it... or even feed back on weather of not i should do it, id appreciate it. bennimag 04-16-2004, 03:45 AM being from europe, i am quite surprised of the hp rating you mention. Indeed, overhere, its either 286hp for the 3.0L, or 321hp for the 3.2. BTW, what does the actual E46 engine give out for you ? In europe its 343hp ! fastncuban 04-16-2004, 09:02 PM in america the 3.0 from the e36 M3's engine power rating was 240 i was told that the european spec motor puts out 321 and is a 3.2 from a E36...the new e46 m3 in america puts out 333bhp...which isnt as much as europe gets but its still pretty damn fast...we do have the 3.2 for the e46 but we dont get the M3 CSL like you guys do which pisses me off but thats besides the question... if u know of anyone selling their motor from their e36 please notify me at fastandfurious04@msn.com because im really interested in buying one. xAUTOxRACERx 04-19-2004, 07:30 PM As for the euro motor try tcklineracing.com. There are other but i just can't remember right now! ChewToy 09-08-2004, 11:07 AM bimmerworld has used euro motors for sale but the transplant is quite extensive. another option would be to get a brand new s52 motor from Turner Motorsport for 5300.00 and slap some cams, larger injectors and chip in it... that's what I just recently did.
