Hey everyone,

now before you yell at me about this shit being, well, shit, hear me out.

I have 2 (two) older Rockford-Fosgate Punch XL (I think thats the designation) subs. They are the ones that were one level above regular punch-series, but below HX2 - anyways, they are 200w RMS, 400w Peak subs each, and I am looking to get a cheap ass amp to power them in my car, just for some bass.

Now, I have searched and searched for info on this amp, but all I can see is one person saying it's 'really' a 80wx2 RMS amp - can someone get me some proof of this, or some first-hand experiece with this amp - I KNOW it's shit, but it should be powerful enough shit to drive these two subs okay, I think...

comments?

why?
it's not like you need stereo sound coming from your subs, bass is omnidirectional (you can't hear the source, so having the L and R channels going to the individual woofers isn't necessary). Just get a mono amp and wire the subs together to it.

Any idea what impedence those subs are? (single 2ohm, single 4ohm, dual 2ohm, dual 4ohm, etc)

exactly you don't need a 2 channel amp, just get that thing off ebay, and have someone install it

Yeah. Definately have someone install it. If you don't know much about impedence in amplifiers and speakers, which it seems you don't
