i just got he body damage estimated, and it should be about 200 bucks thru a guy my friend knows. he said hed have to cut out both rockers and weld new ones in. does anyone sell new rockers, and approx $$... except i dont have any cash right now, so itll be a while bfore i get it fixed. im just hoping my car doesnt bend in two because of the rusted rockers. :banghead: after he pulls the dent out above the rear tire, and touches up the door, hed paint it stock white. i love white cuz it doesnt really fade, and you can paint part of the car stock color, and it will match the rest :iceslolan

That sounds like a good hook up, $200 shouldn't be much to save up for and I agree black and white are great colors for color matching.

Cut out the rusted rockers and weld in new ones for $200??? Usually when you are going to "a guy my friend knows" and the price is unusually low you can believe that is almost always bullshit. Bodywork of that nature is very costly. Make sure the guy knows what he's doing. Just my opinion (free).

he definately knows what he is doing, he completely rebuilt a 74 panel truck, frame and everything. he originally said about 700 total, and im like, ummm... no dough, so hes like, 500??? and im like, ummm... still no dough, and hes like, fine 200, but thats it. so we bargained. and its a side job, he mostly paints cars, and rebuilds them, this isnt goin to be his main priority. my friend got his whole car painted for 750, sweet ass paint job, which would be estimated around 2 grand at any other place, again, talked down

OK the guy knows what he's doing but, is going to give a deal like that to someone he doesn't even know? I think not. Now that you have a quote on the job, Good luck getting this guy to do the work.
