all wheel steerracerh03 02-09-2004, 10:27 AM hey are the 300zx twin turbo all wheel steer or is it all of them, or did u have to get some sort of package to get it. thanks westpak 02-09-2004, 11:31 AM TT's only. Z_animal 02-12-2004, 02:39 AM and yes all tt had it freakonaleash1187 02-12-2004, 08:26 PM all wheel steer as in all wheels turn?!?!?!?!?!?! is that the japanese version or somin? i have never seen that here in america. Z_animal 02-13-2004, 04:36 PM no it is not a jap thing, all us,euro, jdm TT's had AWS. it was called HICAS. and they are not the only car to have it. 3kgt has it and someothers i cant really think of them off the top of my head. freakonaleash1187 02-13-2004, 06:47 PM so on a tt the back wheels turn? i never have noticed or maybe i havent looked close enough. that freaks me out, i would of never thought. racerh03 02-14-2004, 11:50 AM skyline's have it and some 240sx's have it also is there any car events that 300zx's dominate in or anything Z_animal 02-15-2004, 04:47 PM you cant really see them turn, it's very small it os to help correct fishtailing or lane changes. it's makes it smoother so they say. i dont know if i like it yet but a little more testing and well see if it's coming out or not. freakonaleash1187 02-15-2004, 08:25 PM does anybody know how much weight the all wheel steering adds? i read on a website that the back wheels turn the opposite the front wheels then turn the same way to stable it in high speed lane changes. Craigem 02-24-2004, 01:20 PM Its not just the TT's that have all wheel steering the N/A have it as well it comes stander with all 90+ 300zx. The don't turn that much they only turn as much as 12 degrees so it is hard to notice. I think that the hicas system weighs about 9 lbs. but the is away you can disable it and save up to as much as 4 lbs. Z_animal 02-24-2004, 07:21 PM uhhhhmmmmm, NO. HICAS only came on the twinturbo models as a sport tuned steering feature. just like you can choose touring or sport ride. all on the TT only. and 9lbs have you ever seen the whole system. if you delete it from the pump to the lines to the controll arms you have got quite a bit of weight. im not even gonna guess buts it alot more than 9lbs. peace! Z_animal 02-24-2004, 07:24 PM http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/appendixz.aspx#NA/TT , look at this it's not to specific but it tells it like it is. Z_animal 02-24-2004, 07:26 PM well that was suppose to bring you rigth to what i was talking about but it didnt, so scroll down to NA/TT vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
