Ya, that's why I've been going to Pegasus a lot lately. IMO, it's the best hobby shop in SoCal even though they're japanese kits are a bit pricey.

There are a lot of us in So Cal. Although with all this rain it doesn't seem too SC right now. But it sure gives us front drivers a lot of drift practice sessions in the local mall parking lots. :cheers:

Does anyone here go down to the Crystal Cove car show/meet on Saturdays? It's from 7am-9:30am or so in the Crystal Cove shopping center across from Crystal Cove State Beach in Newport Beach.

I'm there most Saturdays, and it's a great opportunity to see everything from Lamborghini's to Chevelle's in all forms of tune.

Make sure to look for a Blue Lotus if you go... :)

I live in Redondo Beach and work at Beverly Hills, Ltd. (Mercedes dealership). Right now driving a 2003 Ford Ranger as a temporary truck. Saving money to make a down payment on a new Dodge Dakota or Jeep Rubicon.

LA here.... blindside, since you're the benz insider, how much are the sl500's going for?? I know i probably won't be able to ever get my hands on the slr, so the sl500 is definitely in my sights. Why can't they sell the slr for 120k and sl500 for 80k... now that would be sweeeeeeeet!

The SL500 does sell for about $80k! Most of the new SL500's that come through the shop have a sticker price between $80-100,000. The SL55 usually weighs in at about $120-135,000. I've seen two of the new SL600's (drove one too :naughty: ) that were priced around $140,000. SL & CL 65's on the way! No word on how much they'll be priced at but I'm guessing between $160-180,000.

It's worth the early rise if you're in the area. If you've got something you want to show (from modified Japanese stuff to high-end exotic), I'd recommend you get there at least 15mins prior to 7am to make sure you get in the center.
