The Chopper's Resource - Just another crazy idea...

Hey... I've been thinking about this for a little while and I finally decided to get up off my lazy ass and make something happen. I don't know if this will ever happen but it would be nice to try it. Enough with my babbling, lets get down to business.

My idea is basically a Photoshopchop Toolkit (http://www.photoshopchop.com/toolkit.htm) but with tons more to use. The site would be called something to the effect of "The Chopper's Resource." It would feature tons of parts to use such as rims, bodykits, spoilers, etc. in one convienant site. Depending on the reaction from you all, and whether I get support or not, I might actually attempt to make something like this.

If you guys wouldn't mind helping out a little bit, this site will be a huge resource for choppers all over the net.

What I want so far is:
A main page linking to a page for rims, spoilers, kits, etc and on each of those pages are links to the actual parts at certain angles. For example, you could click on the rim page and be taken to a new page where it says "What angle is the rims that you need?" and you could click the picture that is closest to the angle that you need and you will be taken to a new page that has a whole bunch of rims at the angle you want. I want this to be as easy as possible to navigate and get what you need. Then, there would have to be a way for users to upload their own pictures for others to use. (This would be how we get all of out parts.) Then, they are submitted to the team and categorized. The only problem I see is that we would need a good host, and we would have to take donations to keep the site up and to have a domain name.

Well, theres my idea. Tell me what you think.

If you would be willing to help out with the design, maintanence, etc. please post here or tell me. If you want to contact me, you can PM me, send an IM to fr34ky4l or e-mail me at alexb@tampabay.rr.com Thanks!

sounds great but what i like about chops is the
originality.. and when there is a website like
that, maybe we're gonna see the same parts on all
those chops...

Thats a good point, nok, but this site would contain a lot of pictures. How often do you recognise a pic from Photoshopchops's toolbox? Not much. I see your point as valid, but I don't really think it would hurt the chopping community.

good luck.
there are about 500 million other 'resource' sites out there on the web and none of them are really worth going to. but you can go ahead and hop on the bandwagon if you think you can make a difference.
