There are shops that can bring an FTO here and get it street legal, but why would you want to? Get an Eclipse and rebadge it.

The FTO and Eclipse look totally different. They are nothing like each other and I don't know why people keep saying that they are the same!

Yes, the chassis may be the same but there is no way you could get an eclipse, put an FTO badge on it and pass it off as an FTO.

Eclipse has a turbo and FTO has mivec (like a vtec) so totally different.

The engine is not even the same in the slightest. FTO's come in 1.8 16 valve, 2 litre V6 24 valve and 2 litre V6 24 valve Mivec.

As far as Im aware, the eclipse is a 2 litre turbo 4WD or a 2 litre 16 valve or 1.8 16 valve.

THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE EACH OTHER!

Eclipse = 2.0 Turbo : FTO = 2.0 Mivec
-similarly-
Integra = 1.8 Vtec : Civic = 1.6 Vtec:

Both car share some common parts such as base chassis, but they not exactly the same car n with different body shape. I don't mind to have all one each :biggrin:

I need to know what companies ship FTO's into america and what they would have to do to make them legal here. If most of the car would be stripped then there has to be another way to get it in w/out anyone knowing,right???

try www.autoterminal.com (http://www.autoterminal.com). I believe they offer a service to federalise imports.

you can get one here, but it will only be a race/show car, you'll never be able to title it
