I was a HUGE fan of European Sports Cars, but not anymore. European Sports Cars became more “tamed” in appearance over the last couple of years (I loved them in the 80s,) and their performance draws a yawn from me now. And for peanuts, one can modify a Japanese sports car to beat most 150,000 European Sports Cars on any given day. True, if you modify a Euro Car, it can kick a#$ to, BUT, even the modifications cost tens of thousands of dollars for these cars (look at Koenig-Specials.) I can buy a used RX7 that is slightly modified @ 400hp for around 19 grand. A Porsche with 400 hp would cost twice that much, and a Ferrari? Forget about it. I don’t want to buy a 90,000 grand Ferrari 355, only to be smoked by some guy in a modified Honda RSX. This is just my opinion, does anyone else feel this way?

Porsches are among the easiest cars to modify that are out there, geddoverit.

If you get beat by the guy in the RSX, chuck the Ferrari around the corner and watch the RSX torque steer :)

I don't know...I just don't like the new styling on the Lambos and Porsches. Just seems like the price has shot up on these cars while the performance has seen a marginal increase. This is all subjective, of course...

the one thing porsche has gone wrong with is the cayenne v-6. lamborghini has gone wrong with the awd on the gallardo. but as long as ferrari is there, european cars are the best. ferrari more than makes up for it.

:rolleyes: How many times are european exotics/sports cars going to be compared to straight line performance. Wow a POS RSX can be supped up to beat a Ferrari. Lets go to the track and see who turns the quicker times. And if I had the money I'd rather have my butt adorned in high quality italian/german leather. Than some shitty plastics.

i have been trying to tell a lot of people that. it doesnt matter if your little honda can beat my ferrari, c'mon now, honda ferrari honda ferrari hmmmmmmmmmm, such a hard choice :lol: .

The people who buy a European exotic want the whole package, the image, speed, ostentatious display of wealth, the chicks etc.
They don't care if your rice rocket can beat it. They have just told the world that their bank account is 1000 times bigger than yours. And that is most of what they care about.

That being said, I understand your point. Back in the 70's and early 80's BMW's were so much better than any American and Japanese sedan, it was like they were from another planet. These days, there is much less difference, and yes, it is somewhat more difficult to justify the price difference.

I don’t know…there is just something about having to back down from a cheaper sports car out of the fear of being beaten that doesn’t sit well with me. Yeah, sure, the Euros are chick magnets….but Japanese imports are starting to become chick magnets as well. However, I do understand that the Euro cars are way better quality. having a euro sports car is alot about image, speed, and looks. imo, a japanese car can never ever look as good as a european car. thats what i think.

if i had the money, i wouldn't spend it on ferrarris or lamos, it would be all japanese imports for me, i just like them more than anything else.

u know what guys .. instead of buying some european car for like $100,000.. i would rather buy a $20,000-$30,000 japanese car.. and throw in $70,000.. make it faster than your car.. and then beat you infront of alot of people.. even tho its a honda or a toyota.. it still kicked ur ass.. so there ya go thats what i would do.. o yea i was actually serious.. but then again thats just my preference... everyone has their own likes/dislikes.. if u suddenly hate european cars.. dont complain about it.. do something.. buy a m3 or a porsche and make a name for urself.. make it faster than the average european sports car.. go in those rallys that go for like 3000 miles i duno do something so ur not so depressed lol

lol ur wrong man.. as much as a like japanese cars.. lets say.. all these cars pulled up to some social area.. like a club.. a ferrari.. porsche.. m3.. then... a supra.. nsx.. skyline pulls up.. who do u think the girls will go to?.. well actually some girls might not even know what the skyline is.. but the supra and the nsx look a lil more sporty.. n exotic.. still the majority of the girls will go for the euro cars
