Alot of Power? hmmmmmeclipse2quick21 02-06-2004, 11:10 PM ok i was wondering about how much HP i would have on my stock '95 240SX KA24DE motor after the following mods: Complete Gasket Set Copper Head Gasket Wiseco Pistons ROSS Performance Rings Performance Wrist Pins TOGA HP Main Bearings TOGA HP Rod Bearings Thrust Washers Timing Belt Expansion Plugs thanks for your time and putting up with the question... Soyo 02-06-2004, 11:37 PM not a lot more than stock, but it would be a lot stronger and a lot more reliable I'd say, and could handle more ponys turbo2nr 02-06-2004, 11:39 PM are you going for hi-compresion or low compersion, if low compression then turbo that bitch and make lots of hp hehe 1 eclipse2quick21 02-06-2004, 11:42 PM alright thanks alot for posting so quick....one more question will i get any HP out of it at all? thanks again eclipse2quick21 02-06-2004, 11:46 PM are you going for hi-compresion or low compersion, if low compression then turbo that bitch and make lots of hp hehe 1 low compression man...lol...do you know where i could get a good turbo kit for the motor after those mods...and also after i rebuild the motor with those parts it should be strong enough to run like a 50 shot of nitrous with the turbo right? correct me if im wrong dont wanna blow my motor lol thanks for all the help....i should be getting my 240 in 1 week....and i have a load of money to put into it...after i rebuild, it will be like i have 0 miles on the motor again right? thanks turbo2nr 02-07-2004, 12:00 AM realnissan turbo kit is pretty good, my boy has one and he makes 230hp@wheel with a stock ka24de motor.. no you wont have 0 mile on the motor, u can neve have 0 mile on the motor agian it will be stonger but not bran new again. you might also wana resleave the block while your at it.. with those internal mods 50shot of NAWWZZ wont hurt much 1 Soyo 02-07-2004, 12:00 AM if you buy all new parts its pretty much like new, if you get used parts it will still need a little breaking in but not near as much as new stuff will I think you'll get a little HP out of the rebuild. cars lose a little HP with age so a rebuild brings you back up to stock atleast, but I'd say it'll give you like 5-10 horses over stock? this is just a guess so don't quote me on it TheLogikal1 02-08-2004, 11:15 AM you might also wana resleave the block while your at it.. LoL resleave the ka24de :iceslolan turbo2nr 02-08-2004, 04:07 PM yupp college is realyl doing its job haha 1 J SPEC SilEighty 02-09-2004, 10:17 AM Complete Gasket Set Copper Head Gasket Wiseco Pistons ROSS Performance Rings Performance Wrist Pins TOGA HP Main Bearings TOGA HP Rod Bearings Thrust Washers Timing Belt Expansion Plugs I don't mean to sound like a dick, but do you have any idea what these parts you listed do? I'm guessing "no" since you are asking if a timing belt will give you HP. I'm also not sure where the hell your going to put that on a KA since they use chains. You mentioned rebuilding your motor with those parts.... my advice is to read up as much as you can and find out exactly what those parts do and what all is required to install them. Once you do that then you will have a WAY better understanding of what happens with those parts. Once you have this information then you can decide if you really need these parts and you can decide if you want to take on the install yourself or have somebody else do it. SR20DETpower 02-09-2004, 11:01 AM i've heard rebuilding a used motor is about a 10% increase on the butt dyno. it would be cool for someone to dyno baseline test a stock car with some mileage, then rebuild it with exact same specs and see how much it really gains.....if I only had the money for such tasks..... eclipse2quick21 02-09-2004, 05:19 PM I don't mean to sound like a dick, but do you have any idea what these parts you listed do? If you do all that, you may regain original compression, assuming you get the block machined. If you oversize, you will gain torque. Given, the amount gained will depend on how far you go. You could get it tested to find out how far you could go. Anyways, this is a tedious and expensive task. You could probably buy an SR20 or even an RB series motor and be better off. If you plan to go high compression then get some time and money and you will be fine. nissanfanatic 02-10-2004, 11:32 PM Oh where are the connecting rods? If you buy all that stuff, with the exchange of the timing belt for a chain, you should get some H-beam rods from Pauter or Crower. Pauters are about the best. go to : www.importperformanceparts.net vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
