Why the hell are you letting a friend race your car? Can't drive? I'm sure the law varies from state to state. Did you ever hear of a race track? You know it's 100% legal to run there without any worries of cops or other stupid asses on the road.

I believe the owner of the car has to take responsibility. My friend recently was in an accident with his GF's car and he asked his insurance if they would take care of it, and they said no, it's the responsibility of the owner and their insurance company. But it could very by state as Jackasssi stated.

If all that happens is he gets a ticket, it counts as points on his license and doesn't hurt you at all...unless they end up towing the car. Now if he were to crash the car or do damage to someone else's property with your car that would be a different story.
