i have a 95 SSE and it wont start.. it hasnt ran since the morning it went down to -12 degrees here.. in chicago.. um.. when i go and turn it over.. it doesnt sound like it turning over.. i see the belts moving.. but it will go for like 2 and 1/2 seconds and stop.. and loose all power.. and the battery is fine.. i put it in another car and it started right up.. theres fuel.... not sure about spark.. and i dunno.. it doesnt really sound like it turning over... and opinions will be gladly accepted..

btw the car driven to school and back.. everyday and thats basically it.. its like a 5 minute trip.. could the catalytic converter have sealed up.. the car has 121,000 miles on it... the best looking 95 bonneville i have seen in a long time...

When you say loose all power it would make me believe you have a bad connection. Step-1~ Look at your Positive and Negative cables and make sure they arent dirty at their contact points (w/battery) especially if you have the two cable system on the pos side of battery, the middle one gets overlooked alot. Clean them with a wire brush, and try starting again. If no success, STEP-2 ~disconnect the other ends and clean (engine ground, starter connection, and the bus bar that feeds the fuse block on the firewall- trace the cable, you'll find it) Remember to disconnect the battery negative if you have to go onto step 2. I live a couple of hours south of you, and know how this cold weather can reveal weak batterys and bad battery connections. Also, if your cables feel "real" stiff, sometimes they can corrode under the sheathing, and will need replaced. Good luck!
