your car doesnt do 0-60 in less then 7 seconds if your running a low 16, maybe if you were running a mid to low 15 in the quarter.

hey studballs, i dont think yur cavalier can run 15.9 with an automatic unless u got a lot of work done cuz i got nitrous and turbo and mine is 14.4

how can you guys buy a car new for like $16,000 and then 1 year later have it be worth like $2,500, i mean no disrespect, i just dont get it

why isnt it possible...i ran that time with a dynomax muffler, B&M shift plus, RK cold air extention kit, 25psi in the front tires, launching at 2100rpm...its not too difficult man...

you have turbo AND nitrous and you only hit 14.4????
there are guys running 14.0's with 75 shots and bolt ons...and 12.8's with turbos...u need some tuning...

I think mine does 0-60 in about 5 miles :wink:No, I'm just kidding. It probably does a 17 or 18 second 1/4 mile (almost no mods- a work in progress)

The resale value on a cavalier sucks.. i had a 2000 Z24 which i traded in for my SVT Cobra and they couldn't even come near to what i owed... i owed 8k and they only gave me like low 6k i got screwed on my trade in.. 6k was even kinda high cause kelly blue book had it down as being worth only 4k on a trade in and 5,400 privatly sold... They are real cheap shitty cars too.. the AC knobs kept breaking off and they cost 20 bucks each, the tranny had been serviced 6 times and then i had to ditch out 1,100 bucks right after my warranty ran out for a new tranny... crappy crappy cars.. plus they drive like shit... i was young and my dad had got me a GM discount so i kinda was forced into it... Anyhow, i did mod it a little and it did run 15.3 at the track once with just bolt ons no FI...

crappy crappy cars..

To each his own.....

But anyways, I timed (or had timed rather) my car did 0-60 in 9 seconds, but that was just "cruising" kind of (could have done faster).

Don't mean to totally bash the car, but its hard to get rid of.. Not to mention i still have after market parts that i can't seem to sell.. i still have a carbon fiber OEM hood if anyone wants to buy it off me.. i can take some pics of it if anyone is interested..

0-60 on my g-tech was on average low 7 sec, and i managed a 6.9 once.. i was no novice at launching either.. i recieved the worst ticket in my driving history in that car 2 summers ago.. 102mph in a 55:) The limiter stopped you at 108....

i ran 15.3 as a best in my z24. theres more stuff out today then when i was moding mine. i suppose a fully bolted z24 with the 2.4 could break 14's NA. But it's gonna be hard to run any faster cause the power just isn't there. stock they dyno like 128whp or something like that. with all the shit i had in mine i probably had near 140whp. best cheap option i would buy for it woulda been the GM supercharger and then i would got a small pulley and continued with bolt ons. that should be good for low 14's maybe even 13's with good tires.

i think the older 95 quad 4 cavy was the fastest stock with 180hp.
