I love the gold carbon fiber. Great find Jay... Do you have any info on it like if those parts might be dealer options at some point? That would be so cool ^_^ Jay! 12-29-2001, 09:41 PM I have no info whatsoever. Only pics. Sorry. :) D16 V-TEC 12-29-2001, 09:43 PM I guess what will have to do for now.:) Anyone know anything about this nice ride? CivSiGuy 12-29-2001, 09:45 PM please don't tell me that is a velvet steering wheel! and the front brake caliper is positioned wrong and the redline indicates the new Si's K20A motor Jay! 12-29-2001, 09:47 PM Originally posted by CivSiGuy please don't tell me that is a velvet steering wheel!Suede, I think... Xplocivic 12-29-2001, 10:24 PM I like the steering wheel. But the color has to go! Yuck! :apuke: kicker1_solo 12-29-2001, 10:47 PM I love the car, but I hate the color.:(:) b16b bomber 12-29-2001, 10:55 PM much better than the hatch CivSiGuy 12-29-2001, 11:49 PM Originally posted by b16b bomber much better than the hatch agreed 500% Si2000 Vtec 12-30-2001, 12:52 AM Very nice looking... good eye with the caliper being reversed. Only thing I'd complain about is the spoiler needs to be a little smaller, not much, just a little... and the rear skirt could extent down a touch more. and for gods sake, get rid of that damn steering wheel... throw the CTR wheel in there, that'd look good. delsolguy 12-30-2001, 12:43 PM Very nice car. D16 V-TEC 12-30-2001, 12:58 PM Based on the 2002 Civic Coupe, the Honda Civic Concept answers the question, “What would a factory-built high performance Civic Coupe from Honda be like?” Starting with components from Honda’s high performance parts bin, the Civic Concept uses suspension tuning similar to the new Sport suspension package from Honda Accessories. Meanwhile, significant engine enhancements raise the horsepower and torque of the current 127-horsepower 1.7-liter engine to 170-horsepower through a custom high-flow intake manifold, a stock engine head that has been ported, polished and decked, a custom exhaust header, a large 2-inch exhaust system and a sport muffler. Braking power has been enhanced through the addition of 4-piston Brembo calipers. The car rides on 18x7 wheels and 225/40-18 BFGoodrich tires. The Civic Concept’s ground-hugging demeanor is achieved through a prototype ground effects kit. Appearance is also enhanced through special blacked-out headlight frames, a carbon fiber sports grille, a racing inspired rear wing and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. The interior incorporates deeply bolstered Recaro sport seats lined with Alcantera Suede and interior trim pieces, a high performance gauge package, sport pedals and a three-spoke sport steering wheel Got this here (http://www.streettuners.com/2002_models/sema_civic_coupe_xr/page1.htm) . 95hbMatt 12-30-2001, 01:10 PM i like!! looks good!!:D Hybrid Boy 12-30-2001, 02:20 PM Originally posted by CivSiGuy please don't tell me that is a velvet steering wheel! and the front brake caliper is positioned wrong and the redline indicates the new Si's K20A motor why does everyone care so much about how high a redline is? Or are u just saying its that motor.... Becuae I honestly could care less what the R/L is, if the thing has power :) b16a2si 12-30-2001, 03:12 PM I don't know... I'm still not a fan of that body style.:( I like my 2000 Si much better. (Body style, that is) D16 V-TEC 12-30-2001, 03:43 PM Originally posted by Hybrid Boy why does everyone care so much about how high a redline is? Or are u just saying its that motor.... Becuae I honestly could care less what the R/L is, if the thing has power :) And apparently it got more than 40 new horses (at the flywheel im assuming). Pretty sweet... :) pvang31019 12-30-2001, 06:11 PM what I don't like is that when every damn manufacturer makes a better more powerful powerplant, they throw bigger rims on there to slow it down. What's even worse is that they make the brakes so big(useless in daily drive)that smaller diameter rims will not fit... overall, I like it a lot though. I can bet you that thing won't even catch up to a 6th gen SI though, rims are too damn big and the torque is probably non-existent(which will be affected by the rims also). I woulda rather seen it in Inca Pearl though sindogg 12-30-2001, 06:54 PM nice car CivSiGuy 12-30-2001, 09:11 PM Originally posted by pvang31019 overall, I like it a lot though. Rims don't slow a car down that much. Up 2" on an Eclipse GT only made it .2sec slower in the quarter (SCC test). Also, the torque is more than a 6th gen. It has 132lbft out of a 2.0 i-VTEC, the B16 pulled 111lbft outta 1.6L. However both motors share a 160hp rating. Becuae I honestly could care less what the R/L is, if the thing has power :) I'm just saying that it is most likely the motor. The K20A3 is in the new Si and I guess this shows us that'll it'll swap into coupes as well. :D pvang31019 01-02-2002, 04:07 AM Originally posted by CivSiGuy if it is the new K20 motor it will probably beat out a 6th gen. Yuck! :apuke: True, why does honda always use that fugly color in the ads? Darkwing 01-02-2002, 07:02 PM Well, I don't know about you lot, but I would take that car in a heartbeat. Color and all. It is very nice, and totally kicks the hatchbacks ass. I love the gold look. Only thing that bothers me though is how the tailights come to a point on the sides. And the spoiler rocks!! Fits the car perfectly. A+ Blankman 01-02-2002, 07:29 PM it's still nice saw it a month or two ago on 2k1civic.com:D kris 01-02-2002, 08:23 PM Sweet. I like it about as much as the new CTR. I would consider it if they brought it here. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/467049civicR.jpg delsolguy 01-02-2002, 09:22 PM Photo Chop drop looks sweet *thumbsup* piscorpio 01-03-2002, 12:37 AM Looks pretty nice actually, and I dont even like the new 2001 coupes. Hanguk87 01-05-2002, 04:57 PM I know what that car is. Well not literally but.......... it is what Honda themselves built as an example of what they would do I guess if they started making aftermarket parts themself. km999 02-08-2002, 01:21 AM WOW! an excellent car it is perfect! Yow guys does anyone have an idea if it is possible if i order a civic coupe with the new R type Specifications.
