I have a 2003 FX 45 with 6000 miles on it. Since day one I have had an issue with steering wheel shimmy at speeds of between 65 and 75 miles per hour. Repeated trips to the dealer have yielded no fix. Yesterday I was told that this is a problem with all fx cars and that they will report the problem, but at this time there is no solution. Befor I use my lemon law rights i was curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue and if they have found a solution.

Not with the FX (have a 35) however, I had the same issues with my Mercedes. It ended up being the steering dampeener. Was a 30 dallar part. Basically it is a shock absorber for the steering wheel, that is mounted in the engine compartment, between the steering linkage and the steering wheel. Good Luck! hope that helps.
