ok, I wanna get these wheels for my camaro, the size on the rear ones is 17 x 11, and the front is 17 x 9.5, it says they fit 88-99 corvettes, and 93-02 camaros. It says nothing about 3rd gen tho, mine is a 91 and it's stock wheels are 16 x 8 with 225/60/16 tires. will these others work with my car? and if so, what do i need to do to make em fit, like spacers/adapters, etc...thx

What kind of wheels? Because I'm pretty sure the offsets are different for '91 and older C4 Vettes and 92' and older F-bodies. They're not ZR-1 replica wheels by any chance are they?

AFS wheels???

They look terrific anyways. AFS is the company I bought my 9.5" ZR-1 replica wheels from and their eBay auctions for wheels are unbeatable (especially the no-reserve ones).

I'm positive that 17x11 wheels will "fit" in your Camaro's fender wells, provided you find the proper offset.

I checked some AFS auctions on eBay and their info is a bit confusing: they say the offset pattern for 84-87 Vettes is 38mm(17x9.5") and 36.5mm(17x11"), for 88-96 Vettes its 56mm(17x9.5") and 50mm(17x11"). Strange thing is they say both types of offsets will fit 93-97 F-Bodies (???).

Again, I don't think the issue is whether or not an 11" wide tire will fit in your fender wells, but will it fit properly. Even the 17x11" that I want to replace my rear 9.5" with will take some effort to install. They say with my chasis raised the rear 11's will not fit because a bracket becomes exposed when the rear axle hangs down - I have to jack the back end of the car by the axle to install the wheels. When the car and wheels are on the ground this bracket supposedly sticks out inside the hollow part of the wheel. But I often wonder, what happens if you ever take air in your car? Sounds like if the suspension rises high enough this bracket will shred the inner sidewalls of the tires!?!

Anyways, even if these rims are not AFS wheels I'd call them up and ask them what offset you'd need - I'm sure they'll know for sure and probably beat any deal you saw elswhere.

And ya, those wheels would look fucking mint on your Z!

i dont even think the rims will fit let alone with a tire on them. But i could be wrong. My friend has a 3rd gen and we have tried a few differnet things with his car and have always gone back to his original setup becauseof problems. Well, good luck and let us know if it works...

well, I emailed that AFS site and told them what car I had and they replied saying that they don't have any rims that will fit my car :-(

Denied. That sucks bros. I would have thought at least the older Vette rims would fit properly.

I think you got the right idea with the style and colour though. There's gotta be ones like that out there that will fit or be made to fit.

i've seen 3rd gen's with vette rims on em before, so who knows, i'm thinkin it's cuz the bolt pattern is different. I'll look into it more, maybe i can get a hold to a 4th gen rear, which i wanna do anyway, and perhaps the front rotors from a 4th will fit on mine too

the offset of the 3rd gen and 4th gen camaros rims are different. they cant be interchanged. unless you buy an adaptre plate to make the 4th gen rims fit on the 3rd gen. i have seen them on two different sites cant remember were. will look at tell you if i can find it.
