I've had my GTi for about a month now. It's a 1.8T and I'm looking for a cat back exhaust system that will sound good and WON'T sound like a p.o.s. civic muffler. People have told me Euro was good, but it goes for around $500. Anything cheaper or is this the way to go? Thanks. :sunglasse

I don't know about turbo motors, but for N/A motors like a VR6, Techtonics makes the best exhaust systems cause they are full mandrel bends and high flow mufflers, they will also make it sound like an expensive european sports car. Turbo motors usually arent loud without aftermarket amplification, like a POS civic Fart Cannon, but a good 2.5 - 3 inch pipe with a good turbo muffler will make it sound mean. not necessarily loud, but mean. besides, you don't want all that attention anyway.

changing mufflers wont void ur warranty, it doesnt damage ur vehicle in any way, it helps it.

take alook under England, and you wil find some of the best producers in the world. They probably have dealers in USA also.
