hey all. i recently "reinstalled" the brakes on my 99 malibu. what i mean by that, is that i had a cliper blow out and i had to drive it without brakes (!) using only downshifting and the ebrake to stop. i hated to, but i had no money and no other way to go. well, towards the end of my time driving it like that, the ebrakes started grabbing really badly and locking the wheels. i pulled the rear drums expecting the worst, but to my shock, the brakes looked like NEW! i put a new caliper on the front, new pads on the front, and bled the system. the brakes feel normal, but the ebrake warning light (i know it is ebrake warning light because it is tripping the warning chime until you get about about 15 mph.) is pretty much stuck on. or at least this is what i think is wrong. could anyone shed some light on this?

thanks in advance!
Josh

try adjusting the e brake cable you might have stretched it out and the ebrake isnt releasing all the way
