This is for the wheel people out there. Aoshima's new S-Part wheels are now out. For change, they got the release date right, 31st, just like they told me (though they did push it back twice to get here). And surprise! They're 19" (according to the box, in scale might be a different story). Meaning most likely they are completely new molds, not just reboxed from their older car kits. Can't wait to see them.

Just thought I'd share. Get them quick.

19" S Parts? that is unheard of! I've found most S parts are 16" or smaller! This should be cool!

do you know where i can find box art or actual pics??

The TE-37's for some reason won't be out until Monday.

I'll post some actual pics when I get mine.

The Volks are 19", damn it. I was hoping they would be 18". Oh well, I guess they'll have to work. HLJ needs to hurry up and get theirs so they can EMS them to me. For those that have been waiting it's about time they are released!

Well, technically, Monday will be February, so it is accurate. HLJ always gets their new releases slower than others. Strange.

Yup, once those TE-37's come in, my wheels will be EMS'ed to me. Not from HLJ, so no 1 week of "processing" time.

Perfect timing too since I got some new kits recently; RX7, 300ZX, Sileighty.

Ya, I was hoping they would be 18's also. Oh well, good thing I pre-ordered a set of TE37s and CE28Ns once I saw them on HLJ which was probably around early October. :iceslolan Looks like they might be pretty popular.

I won't say the number of sets for my happiness. Just saw the guys in the white coats in the hall carrying a straight-jacket. They might hear. :iceslolan

When someone gets the CE28's, measure them please. They look a lot like the Konig rims on my 1:1, and if they aren't the full 19" I might be able to use them.

I'm hoping (as most of us are) it's got the offset for Skylines, Supras, etc. I hate using those flat Civic/Integra offset TE-37's from Fujimi. I'll post pics as soon as mine arrive.

I don't think any US shops will have them for a few weeks. They just got released in Japan. Not all the shops in Japan have them yet.

Well, the real 19" TE-37 has the offset for Skylines, etc. and I doubt Aoshima would screw us over with their wheels like Fujimi does. My LHS usually doesn't get the new items for 1-2 months. I already pre-ordered (and paid) for some sets even though they don't know when they'll be getting their supply. :evillol:

In some form or another you're going to pay for freight shipping. Possibly twice since they go from Japan to the US distributor (once) and then from the distributor to the LHS (twice). Depending on the LHS you might get hit with a profit charge.

Yes, hats off to Aoshima on this one. These new wheels are definitely what modelers have been wanting. In just a few days, they're selling out everywhere.

I foolishly got more of the 19" VIP's than the new S-Parts. Though had I know the S-Parts were 19's in advance, I would have done differently.

I did not preorder from HLJ, but did from Hobby World. Though my order still hasn't shipped, making me wonder if they took more orders than they got. :uhoh:

I just placed an order with hlj. the ce28s were already on backorder but i ordered 2 sets of em anyway, the te37s were low stock, then on backorder after I put in for my 2 sets as well..i also ordered one set of the Enkei nto3's. hoepfully the ce28's will come off of backorder soon. I have been waiting for these for a long time.. anyone know how much ems usually runs for 5 sets of wheels to the us?..i'm thinking not to much

Yes, kudos to Aoshima! On another note, does anybody have a clue as to why HobbySearch doesn't have them anywhere on their website? I pray to the gods of modelling that I will be blessed with a set of 28's or 37's. :evillol:

Wow, those do look nice. Well, the ones that aren't the Enkei (the white ones?). I am espescially impressed with the tire molding, usually the tires suffer when the wheels are so large. Good work Aoshima.

Thank falbert19 for pics, too. I don't think many people want those Enkei's.

Ah, my VIP cars. Been in a modeling funk for a few months now. Not building any kits for me lately, only for others. No creative juices flowing right now. Hopefully, these new wheels showing up will kick start things. Can't remember when I've been more anxious to receive packages.

Post office has my EMS package with my 19" VIP's. Still no notice on my S-Parts yet.

The Rcaing Harts look to be a 2-piece.

I'll buy the NT-03M's sometime. I have a couple sets of Fujimi NT-03's I haven't used yet. The M's do look better. Lighter too....in real life ;)

Of the 4 wheels, the Racing Hart's look to be most likely to be two-piece. It would be cool if they all were 2-piece. Then we could interchange rings with other 19's.

Finally got my shipping notice from Hobby World. If it goes out tomorrow, I should have them next week. Unfortunately, they couldn't add more TE37's to my pre-order. Going (gone) like hot cakes, I tell you. They added it to their online catalog with a SOLDOUT status. No chance to order any.

HLJ just said they're sending my TE37's. I bought my CE28's and R.H.CR for Hobby World and obviously TE37's from HLJ. It looks like it worked perfectly as both say the wheels are shipping EMS. Hopefully soon....

BTW Joe, I can get some pics of wheels (for your site) if you want. Like the G-Zero, BBS LM, etc...

Thw GTR wheel looks pretty nice, it might be me but doesnt it look a little tiny bit small than others? I wish they made the center cap with the option to be attachable so if you wouldnt like to put it on it would look like Subways R34 wheels he made with the lugs showing.

Hobby World still has all but the TE37's in stock.
R10 still has all of them in stock, though their spreadsheet listing can sometimes be out of date.

Sorry to hear about that Steve. Why the hell do they do that? I also pre-ordered but in December and HLJ was going to honor my pre-order. I ended up cancelling my pre-order which one would think would increase the supply on hand.

I ended up ordering the TE37 the day they came onto the HLJ website and they're already on the way. I also ordered the CE28 and RHCR from H.World and those are on the way. Good control HLJ's got over there.

You wouldn't be slightly biased by being a competitor to HLJ in any way, not with all the models and parts you're trying to sell on here. No, not at all. :disappoin

Yes, their shipping and inventory system is a bit odd at times, but in the end they have the best option for prices, selection, security, and overall reliability. I know I'm going to take some heat for posting this, so be it, but I don't think anybody overall matches up to HLJ. :2cents:
