Odometer Problem

Help!! Info needed!!! Model is 325, year is '87. Speedometyer works, tach works.... odometer DOES NOT!! What drives the odometer? I can find NO reference(s) in the shop manual. Can anybody clarify?? Please e-mail [email protected] if you can. A million thanx....

Since I'm so new to the process I'm not sure the last response went through, so here it is again.....
The trip odometer DOES NOT work either..... can you offer any suggestions, help and/or direction?? Any of the above would be greatly appreciated. Thanx a million......

I guess you could either take it to a mechanic and have him fix it or drive it as is and just change the oil every 2-3 months and not rack up any miles on the odo.

The odometer on the 84-91 model is analog not digital like in the newer models. The odometer is driven electrically by the same signal the speedometer is so it's probably a problem on the electronic board or the little electric motor that runs it..... You will have to take the dash board apart and check it from the behind the instruments.....
