Lambor 01-29-2004, 09:21 PM knowing BMW i would have someone inspect it before you buy it to tell you whether it would be a good deall or not and wheather or not it would hold up because of the crash and all.And he could tell you the resale of the car so if the resale was good or not. Lambor 01-29-2004, 09:23 PM I think just because it has so many miles I dont think it would be a good buy. But just my opinion if you like the car you should buy it you choice. fatninja19 01-30-2004, 11:46 AM Do have the BMW checked out. Make sure that the maintenance have been done on time and done well. BMW's are great mechanically as long as the maintenance has been performed correctly. Then haggle with the guy. :icon16: dep8 01-30-2004, 04:01 PM thankz more info please ... dep8 02-05-2004, 08:06 PM someone please give more advice MexSiR 02-10-2004, 06:14 PM I say it is a pretty good deal, Ive been looking to buy an M3 1997 also, going to buy it next fall. If the crash was on the back no engine parts were damadged but I would look into the suspension. M3s are running around 14,000 with 70 K miles ...so its your choice. MarkEChiu 03-20-2004, 06:30 PM I purchased my "Salvaged" 1997 M3 about 3 years ago that had similar rear-end damage. I ended up replacing the rear crossmember for about $250, but beyond that, I have been thrilled with it. It is a great car. Mine had even been raced to an unknown extent and I have been driving it for 50,000 miles with no unusual problems. dep8 03-23-2004, 11:02 AM well i bout the car..... for 9000 is that a good deal...only thing is i got a 3 of the same m3 rims and one motorsport rim i didnt notice...and i just got to do the maintenANCE AND IT SHOULD BE GOOD..... BUT DOES YOUR M3 VIBRATE ALITTLE AT START UP IN THE MORNING....the car has a new sports clutch the driver side you can tell a little of what happened to the car the window does go up and down becuase i guess its a new door and the seller said i just got to take it to the dealer to reset the security feature is that right?and my on board computer says i need more washer fluid but it looks full to me...anymore advice speeddemon320i 03-23-2004, 12:11 PM I'd buy it if i was you but see if he will lower the price a little. JSvenson 04-23-2004, 03:12 PM Definatley bring a mechanic with you next time you check it out just tell the guy your trying to make sure its kosher before you buy it, since you obviously dont want to end up with a lemon. dep8 04-23-2004, 04:41 PM i bought the car and the seller said i had a sports clutch but 3 weeks of driving the flywheel and clutch blew out can i get some money back from a private dealer i have to put in 1500 to fix the tansmisssion ...what can i do to get some money back for this car......should i just call him and tell what haooened and what if he doesnt cooperate JSvenson 04-24-2004, 08:42 AM Well was it a dealer sale or a private sale? If it was a Private sale good luck trying, if it was a dealer sale was the warranty as is as shown? if it was then your SOL my friend. But id say still try mention to him the problem and how it occoured. SmogSUX 04-28-2004, 05:43 PM hehe...if you don't like it i could buy it :lol2: no joke...i wouldnt mind buying it ne ways good luck with your stuff man. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
