Turbo Tuning2000Tegra 01-29-2004, 09:36 PM just a quick question, but if you get a turbo kit installed, how often would you want to get your car tuned? Thanks. turbo2nr 01-29-2004, 09:50 PM only once, and then i would do it after i change the amout of air and\or fuel going into the motor, what do you mean by tuning btw there is alot of ways to tune your car.. andera 01-31-2004, 09:26 PM adding to the question... would it be better to just buy a wideband sensor and be able to tune whenever, and not have to pay someone $$ for dyno time 2000Tegra 02-01-2004, 12:05 AM what i ment by tuning it is I heard that when people get turbo kits installed on they're car they tune it with hondata or something like that. I have also heard of people taking it to a shop to tune it. so I just wasnt sure how often it would need to be tuned. (I am somewhat new at turbo kits) Just another quick question. If I were to purchase a turbo kit, with something like hondata and I upgraded my kit, such as an upgraded turbo, manifold, wastegate, and BOV, would I need to get it tuned again? Is a tuning process done with hondata, or is it on a dyno? Thanks. turbo2nr 02-01-2004, 12:17 AM im pretty sure that it is tuned form the dyno not the hondata, that just makes it tunnable.. 1 2000Tegra 02-04-2004, 03:18 AM what I ment by tuning is I heard some people get stuff like hondata or whatever. I just heard that it is important to get it tuned, but I didnt know what they do when they tune it, or how often they do it... I didnt know if tuning it ment tuning hondata or however else it would need to be tuned when having a turbo kit on there. just adding to my own question, if I were to get the greddy turbo kit, and later got a B.O.V. intercooler and wastegate installed would I have to take it to get it re-tuned? any info would be helpful. Thanks. 2000Tegra 02-04-2004, 03:18 AM thanks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
