I need an opinion from you guys. I am trying to decide on a project car, but I don't know what I want to do more. My first choice is to take an early 90's Nissan 240sx and put an sr20det engine into it. The other is to buy a '95 Camaro RS from my friend, and put a GM 350ci engine into it. Both would cost about the same amount of money, with the 240sx being a little bit more. I can buy a new GM engine for about $3300, whereas the sr20det would cost about 2800 bucks. I found a guy in town that will charge 600 for the swap. What do u guys think?

Well...just know that the 240SX will handle better...but the Camaro will be faster in a straightline...

Personally...I like good handling cars...and I had a 240SX so...I know they handle very well...

yeah, the 240sx is good at anything with money it. they sell a RB26DETT for $3,500 in houston-imports.com. that will be a kick ass project!

Number one... I checked out houston-imports.com It's not a shop...it's a bulletin board/forum....just like AF. No motors for sale...

Number two...the RB26DETT usually cost alot more than 3,500...3,500 is more than likely the price of the RB25DET...as I have seen...I dont think the RB26DETT has come down in price since it's such a gem of a motor

Number three...the install into a 240SX would not be cheap...I hear that on a scale of 1-10...the install is like a 11-12 to make it all work...so be prepared to spend like 5k-8k just on the install...
