i need help on my 1990 300zx na what other mods can i do to raise HP

hey everyone i need help with my 1990 300zx na
i need more HP and its stock right now what can i do 2 raise it?
i know a turbocharger but not sure what i can fit in it and how if u know plz tell. thanx 4 the help

Underdrive pulleys: 25whp
Intake 5hp
lightened flywheel
more agressive cams
high compression pistons and valves
egr removal
power sterring removal
ac removal
lighter wheels
light weight driveshaft
umm thats all i can think of for now. good luck:)

thanx and do u know about how much horse power that could get it up 2? by the way its automatic yeah i know it sux but 300zx has bin my favorite car sence i can remember so i just wanted 1 bad so it dident mader much 2 me

should get you up around the stock tt, but for the auto part, not to familiar with them, but i know you can buy shift kits for them which i would suggest you doing

a good thing to gain hp, or gain hp you used to have is change your fuel injectors, for stronger more durable ones, i recommend 500cc denso iridium injectors.

i would say get a better exhaust system and every N/A should have headers.

another upgrade-->throttle body
yet another-->cold air intake
and another-->bore and stroke

when you say cold air intake, all you need is the filter to replace the box, because its basically a cold air intake anyway, plus u gotta buy two throttle boddies, not just one, one way to make it faster, not necessarily hp gains is to lighten the car as much as possible, lighter rims, no spare tire, no ac, ps, or just gut the entire rear end of the car, things like that

If you dont know much about the OBD1 motor on the z32.. there is actualy a 10-15 Degree loss of throttle body angle because of a screw that blocks the butterfly pulleys thats in the center of your block.. on the obd1 motor all you have to do is unscrew the screw.. on the newer obd2 engine they dont have the screw its actually an aluminum block that holds the butterfly pully from going back any further... In this case you have to shave it down with some sort of tool.. Once this is done.. You should have a little better response with your throttle....

When i say butterfly pully, its the piece that the throttle cable leads to and is pulled back.. for newbies

hey guys.. i just got a 93 300ZX NA AT and Im ready to do SOMETHING!.. everyone I talk to says its not worth it, but I'm bored and I can't afford a TT for a while so..

I was intersted in a CAI or Pop Charger 1st.. any thoughts on whats better. I read on that CAIs dont really work ... "Don't bother with cold air intakes until you manage to block/bypass the intake manifold heating. " is this true? Thanks!

Man if you want to know anythin about your nissan 300zx just go to and go to vehicle upgrades I think It will tell you the stages and what horse power it will give you N/A are well worth it man I know I own one at about 490hp right now

[300zx have a heating problem because the air intake runs right next to the engin n/a are better because you can get them turbed or twin turbed and nobody will know untill the blow off valve goes off to solve heating problems have a look around for pipes that heat protectors on them they do cost a bit but worth looking for
