There is no such thing as an automatic VR4. The 91-93 are 5 speeds and 94-99 are 6 speed trannies.

Maybe his computer was hit by a virus - haven't heard a thing either. My son just bought a 95 VR4 with 47K in Orlando, Florida so we are not looking anymore. Good luck with your search.
