Hey I'm new to the Tahoe world, and I just bought an '02 Tahoe from a local dealer, here. I bought a new radio and I was wondering if anyone had posted a step by step installation guide? I want ot remove my factory radio and install a Pioneer 6500DVD it's the flip DVD player..

My best recommendation is to get it done by a reputable shop. I am a true believer in doing it yourself but, the Tahoe has an stock amp that is wired to all your speakers and sub. With that being said, the "friend" of my brother that did the work at his shop said it was a big pain in the butt.
Going with a good shop you should never have a problem getting something checked out if needed. I live in Houston and my brothers friend has his shop in Dallas! I should have just done it here in Houston.
The good thing about the Tahoe is all the possiblilities you have for an awesome system! I have a Kenwood deck, Focal Hi's & Mids and MB Quart co-axils in the rear doors and JL Audio Amps and sub. Feel free to ask me anything and I will try to help.

The radio is very easy to install. It would wire in like a regular aftermarket deck being wired into a floating ground system. The only thing that you need to do activate the factory amp which is located right behind the glove box is cut pink wire out of the smaller hanress and wire it to a 12v output from the radio. Let me know if you have any other questions.
