resistor chip timing mod

has any one tryed this mod yet need to know how it works and if it is make model specific

its not make model specific..it just plugs in to your Intake Air Temp. sensor...i dont think its worth it...my freind did it on his 2000 and it just made him ping alot. Not really worth it in my opinion... Doesnt hurt to try it though..Just go to radio shack or somewhere and buy the right resistor for 1.00 or less and throw it in there...I am not sure what ohm resistor you need though...

The resistor in the IAT (inlet air temp) sensor tells your engine colder (denser) air is entering the engine. The engine leans the fuel (slightly) and increases timing. Most IAT are mounted close to the engine, giving too high of a temp reading anyways (outside of the elbow plastic gets hot, making sensor read false (Hot)).

I have been running a 3.3k resistor which I belives tells my computer I have 45-deg entering the engine. SLP runs a 4.7K which is like 32-degrees?
