1987 4.3 TBI for off roadRocky in KC 01-19-2004, 10:38 AM sorry for the newbi questions--I'm a quick study, and have been around cars for a longgggg time! That said we are running a off-road buggy (street legal) but no inspections,ect.---New Mexico reg.!! I wanted the 87 model because it had no balance shaft!! And it has the TBI--as we run at different altitudes--did not want the constant tuning of a carb.--Have been reading many threads on the different HEADS---with out spending a kazillion dollars--should I get 92-95 heads and have them reworked---also what is the bare minimun computer stuff I will need--to make this TBI work--we will just have a alternator, water pump--no other smog, stuff to worry about-------thanks in advance--we do not race the car--but do want it to run on cheap pump gas--as we will be taking it into Mexico, ect---Rocky in KC comp 01-22-2004, 01:13 AM if your talking about the Vortec's YES :smokin: :smokin: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
