Sadly, since I don't understand a lot about what goes on under the hood of a car, I had to talk to my 'Mad Scientist' - Cheezer - about my car before I posted.
We found this showpiece Buick (Garage Kept, 50K, all options but leather), and decided to make a BIG UGLY IMPORT CAR KILLER. One year later, it's proving to be both fun and taxing. Parts are hard to come by for this, as most of the Firebird 3800 parts don't seem to fit or work, and I've been told to stay away from the Grand Prix parts (don't know why.)
As it stands, the car has a new ignition system, light exhaust work, custom intake, light cams, an Eaton M90 supercharger, and a real taste for high octane fuel. It's kind of fun to eat the kids who think they have fast cars, but I think some of it is element of surprise. No one suspects a big brown Buick to do the kinda stuff mine will.
Does anyone have any sugesstions/places where I can find parts that work? I suspect there's plenty more to be done to the big brown bomb, but I'm running out of ideas, and so is cheeze.
Thanks,
Nate

Does it have the higher 3.05 axle ratio and tranny system that was installed in stock versions of the LeSabre with the elusive "Gran Touring" package?
You will get a nice kick off the line over conventional LeSabres if you have / install this option, it boosts the final axle ratio from 2.95 to 3.05 and tweaks the steering / suspension. This was / is a very rare option on these cars but it still exists on the 04's and I have it on my 2000.
