It's an RPG, no a Tritan V, no an RS*R Exhaust!

Well, I got my RS*R ExMag exhaust from UPS today. I haven't installed it yet, I may try tommarow since it's my day off, or I may wait until Monday. However, I took some pictures to share with all of you, in order to put it into perspective.

I'm sure the claims RS*R have made are all accurate. It will probably be SUPER quiet. It will probably provide GREAT performance. Unfortunately, RS*R didn't make any claims about the size, or resemblance to stock of the exhaust. This is not to say it is big. Because that would be a tragic under-statement. IT IS GARGANTUAN.

When I hold the rear-section over my shoulder (no doubt a difficult task considering its weight) it very much resembles a Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher.

<Edit> Apparently the previous upload idea didn't work. I'll try to link from the pics from Car-Domain.

That's the thing though, the tip isn't small! =P In fact, it's about 10mm away from being the same size as a CD. We're going to install the exhaust on Monday, and possibly the new brake rotors if we have time.

No, the GTII resembles my previous exhaust, it is more of a can style, where as the ExMag looks more like a stock exhaust, except, well, twice as big. I guess it may not look as big once I have it on the car. We'll see I guess =)

Turbo Imports. It's quality built and will definitely look better than my current one but I doubt it'll look stock.

To give you an idea of how large the tip is, I can place my fist inside of it with minimal maneuvering and move it back and forth without a problem. Installation is tommarow.

Yeh, I got installed. It looks pretty big on my car because the bottom lip of the rear bumper is straight, unlike on the Civic and RSX on their page. I think it looks better on those cars, but I certainly like the look better than my old exhaust. I just got done washing it and will put up pics when it dries.

The exhaust sounds PERFECT. RS*R was 100% correct about the tone. You can't hear it at all compared to the noise from the engine and intake. When you step lightly on the gas, it makes a very very deep, quiet sound, barely noticeable. As you accelerate, this noise disappears completely, there are no vibrations, and you can't hear it at all. Just driving around it sounds like stock, if not quieter. When you go full throttle you can hear a slight, deep tone, but the intake makes more noise than the exhaust does. Absolutely perfect.

I guess I shouldn't have expected the tip to be small, afterall, from the cat-back is full 60mm piping. If it went down to a 2" tip, it'd probably bottleneck pretty bad and decrease performance.
