Are there any known problems with Nissan knock sensors? I have a 96 200SX SE-R. I throws a knock sensor code while the engine is cold. If I clear the the code while driving after the engine is at running temperature, the code does not come back until next warm up cycle. The sensor measures about 550k ohms, which is within spec according to the service manual. Just looking for anyone with similar experience or knowledge.

are you familiar with piston slap? some newer chevy trucks have this problem where they knock until warmed up. i was told it is because the chevy engineers were goin for a little more durability with using a hypereutectic piston and didnt get the clearances right. does that help? lol
