How is that a question for the "anime lover"?
The only AE86 with forced induction was Wataru, who had a turbocharger, but upgraded to a supercharger after he was defeated by Takumi

No, Takumi upgraded his engine to a HIGH REV RACING ENGINE not a turbocharged engine.

If anyone can think of the high rev engine cost , Takumi just used up all his bank acount to change the engine .
the story didn't tells how his father get that engine .

this pic take from Bill Sherwood's Racing Car page , it has the most expensive mod part in it . Including racing Piston ,racing camshaft, Light wight flywheel etc .

in reality Turbo/Super charger is the best way to boosting the engine power ...sort of like asking the "drifting" fans a funny question .
Or I must say (what is the "Power up" solution for the car ?) the answer is in Initail D 2nd stage series .

trust me , watch the racing battle agian .
You can choose which to use or why and why not or you can try to tells everybody the reason why

okay lil american fan boy.

In actuallity, he's RICH. He's saved up a lot of money for the tofu runs he's been doing for the years.

You are YET again wrong. A drift machine would be better with a better NA engine setup. Why? There is lag on turbo vehicles. Super Charger? Sure, great tool, but it'll only get you so far because they don't add that much power.

Takumi's dad knows people in op places, thats why he talked on the phone with Keiichi, if you knew anything about jp drifting. You're american dubs or tokyopop subs does no justice in the show. It is NOT takumi's car, he can't use what to do with the car besides drive it. In the show it even said it was his dad's and he would have to convince him to add to it.

some point that I do not agree with , example Nissan S15 have a turbo.
it's a best car for drifting too .

turbo been using or add to a Rally car just nice for drifting also plus a "Anti-lag system' in it .

I did see the Jap -AE86 drifting party (from a video) There are 3 group .
The 1st group is a beginner 2nd is expert 3th is a maniac ! (drift the conner with speed about 90km/h ~ 100) They get all AE86 owner and rent a small race track to challenge each other . not to mention the front chamber angle is more then 2.6 ' degree ! with all the crazy 13 inch rim and flat tyre .

the register fees is 86000 yen , every year on august- 6th .
believe or not they try to do "SM" to they car !!! :evillol:

an yukes AE86 trueno won the US D1 showcase it only has about 170ps N/A. So much for the 550hp silvia's

The winner of the Championship though was an FD3S

I thought that was an 86 Levin that was driven by Ueo someone.

Yukes? Having pronounciation trouble? Its a Trueno, not a Levin. Its Ueo's Revolver sponsored Treuno, simple enough? The winner of the 2003 D1 season with Imamura in the Apex'i RX-7 (FD, the white one for those of you who arent educated :p)
Was cool to see HKS S15 race the Trueno, and he calls himelf NOB (No One Better), hah :D

Alright, it was just because in one of the Super Street Mags, a typo was that Ueo was driving a Levin, thanks for the correction

No, Im simply stating an opinion on magazines such as Super Street and Import Tuner, which all happen to be written by a bunch of riceboys who just got into drifting...
You CAN chose not to read it, you know.
