Monogram Porsche 924 "euro" conversioncagman 01-11-2004, 03:57 PM A while ago i got an old built Porsche 924 kit from my (wonderful) girfriend. it was sort of a mess, glued windows, thick hard enamel paint and so on, but since the 924 is missing from my collection i decided to restore it. after dissasembly i soaked the body in "Ajax", a powerful ammonia-based detergant. it worked out great, after two days the paint came off in sheets, like plastic foil. Idecited to go for a stock look, so a set of Hasegawa 944 wheels will be fitted, on selfmade brake discs. Now my girlfriend wants me to hug her, so i will let the pictures do the talking :smokin: :evillol: :iceslolan http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441carwing_away_smiling_stupidly_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441European_front_bumper_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441And_european_rear_bumper_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441Fujimi_rs_3_8_seats_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441P1010132_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441Modification_complete_001.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441924_turbo_wheels.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/62441Looks_a_lot_sleeker_003-med.jpg Orion37170 01-11-2004, 04:30 PM sounds interesting! I actally dont have a clue about that paint, but i was really thick and hard before the soaking. then it just came off. If i should guess i would say it was some kind of furniture laqer. By the way, great looking 510, those watnabes look super on it. tonioseven 01-12-2004, 08:46 AM Cool!!
