removing gundam markerDavid_ 01-11-2004, 07:19 AM hey, if i made a mistake with a gundam marker, how do i remove it? without removing too much or any of the paint? also, is it safe to clear coat over gundams? and how long should i wait before doing the coat (let the marker dry...) (i'm assuming i mark now, 2 days after the paint got on the shell) tonioseven 01-11-2004, 08:37 AM There's a Gundam Marker removal pen available; I got mine from HobbyLink Japan. David_ 01-12-2004, 05:32 AM ok, thanks for the help... now i know that lacquer is not meant to go over acrylic.... so can i clear over gundams? and can i clear over acrylic paints (without paint running, i don't mind if clear coat slips off the paint, i just don't want the paint to run....) tonioseven 01-12-2004, 08:14 AM I do Gundam panel lines last on a project if that helps you. I don't want to take the chance of finding out the hard way if they'll run.:) David_ 01-12-2004, 08:22 AM oh damn......... ARGHHHHHH..... if they run im dead!!! can't do anything about it...... :( hoooooooo boy...... will a clearcoat look right if i mask over the panel lines? (only clear main area's) tonioseven 01-12-2004, 08:24 AM Depends on how good you mask the model; the more quality time you spend masking, the better the end result is likely to be. :) Vric 01-12-2004, 08:24 AM Tamiya Thiner work without a problem David_ 01-12-2004, 08:29 AM hmmmm..... but i realy don't want to remove the gundam......... i'll try it on a seperate peice of spare first.... thx for the help tho vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
