I've pretty much heard from everyone the best way to go for HP in a D-series engine is forced induction. Or swap for a B16 :P

Anyway, I was wondering what would be better to go with, a Turbocharger or Supercharger?

Supercharger is always giving you power right off the line but a turbo kicks in later at like 5k RPMS right?

Which would help with horsepower most and which is better on the engine?

Also, some realistic prices would be nice :)

Thanks alot. (93 Civic Ex / D16Z6)

Dog, check the turbo, super, nitro forum. There's tons of shit in there about this. Just run a search in that forum. But, yes, turbos give higher hp, sc's generally give better everyday drivability, and prices vary greatly depending on which type of sc or brand of turbo you use. Holler

Turbo definetely. If you're not looking for a ton of power, go with the Greddy D-Series kit. Or if you have some cash to spend, the Edelbrock kit is very nice.

d17y? something like that i think.

go turbo...more potential than supercharger. plus you wont be boosting all the time till higher rpms. turbo wont spool at city driving unless you rev angine a lot. :2cents:
