Does anyone who has a 02 Camery with a V-6 engine have trouble with the transmission shifting into 2nd and 3rd gears when the engine is cold on colder days? It seems like my engine runs at about 3,000 rpms for a while before it changes gears, whereas once the engine is warm the gears change more quickly and smoothly. Dealerships says this is normal, however I want to be sure.

This is normal for these cars from at least '97 on. It's electronically controlled to allow the fluid to warm up.
