I should of been more clear.
The car(s) in the movie is a piece of shi*.
Any R34 that puts down a 15 second 1/4 mile time, is a complete piece of shi*. And any car owned by Craig Lieberman is a turd also.

that car does does the 1/4 in 15 seconds???????? wow, then the owner really is an idiot. stock R34 GTR's do it in 13 some odd seconds.

can i ask where you got the 15 sec 1/4 mile please. there is a 1000hp skyline here in the uk that is fully street legal and does 9.8 sec quarter mile

looks good. The camaro was actually the fastest car. I think it ran a 13.1 with the 427 big block. The Evo and Supra, and Skyline ran like mid-high 14's. The Evo made like 10-20HP less then a stock Evo, but the 2f2f Evo had a CAI Too. The Supra had 113,XXX (something like that) Miles on it before it became a movie car. It had a Greddy Turbo kit too. And they converted the R34 GT-R to RWD so it could do burnouts. (lol) Read the story on Car And Drivers website, where they tested them all.

The 15 sec. time was obtained from a Nissan Skyline Forum where they were talking about the car in question.
If I remember correctly, SCC Magazine also achieved an astonishingly high 1/4 time with it also..
For the record, it's commonplace to see stock R34 GT-R's run low 13's.

god that's terrible. but the R34 isn't a straight line car and wasn't meant to be.

Seriously, a stock GT-R running a 13? That is something i'd like to see, being the limited stock speed is 115mph according to JDM Restrictions, must have dangerous acceleration

What car is meant to be a "straight line car" ?
The point is, when Craig Lieberman gets his fat greazy hands on a car, he screws it up.

If i remember correctly, when SCC tested all of the cars, the Pink S2000 was the fastest @ something like 13 secs... i think...

straight line cars, muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. not too many of them could hang the curves, but they were some of the fastest stoplight machines you could buy for the money. Heh, who wouldn't want a yenko 427 for just about 4grand?

FYI...craig liberman helped to design every car on both movies. So if you are saying hes so bad, then you must think all of the cars suck.

I read something like the pulled the front drive shafts to make it RWD. I don't understand why a knowlegable tuner would do this as Mines make a TCS kit that simply plugs into the atessa system and you just turn a dial to set the bias to RWD. Pulling the drive shaft sounds like complete amature work to me.

f&f plus it's sequel had the most ricey cars i've ever seen... but everyone has their opinions... and the 2f2f skyline was prolly so slow because of the changes needed to be made to have it imported here... dont think stock r34's in japan are street legal in the US

15's from a GT-R....holy S**T!....the offical 1/4mile time of the R34 GT-R (as tested in japan) are 12.9. and you're right a stock GT-R wouldnt pass the american EPA emission tests....hell even where i live my mate get pulled up and fails the aussie emissions test in his R34 GT-R (AUS$100,000 worth:biggrin:)...and the only thing he has done is fit a ADR (australian Design rules) approved NISMO exhaust.
and in a side note, you dont even need to get a mines RWD bias adjuster. all you have to do it wire a switch up to the ATESSA control fuse...or just pull the thing out. its send the ATESSA computer into fault mod, reverting the car to full RWD mode. and all you have to do to get it back to 4wd it flick the switch (or put back in the fuse) and turn the car off, and the back on again. bingo you have a 4WD GT-R again.

Design? What exactly did he "help design"?
F.Y.I He didn't choose the graphics/paint/bodywork/engine OR drivetrain mods, or lack there of.. He himself, did nothing besides bring his Supra to a casting call for the Fast and the Furious, threw a few names around, and lucked out.
Beings John Singleton and co. have next to no knowledge or ties with the import community, Craig "stupid-fuck" Lieberman was brought on board for the 2F2F sequel as a "consultant".
So to answer your question: " You must think all of the cars suck."
In short, *most of the cars in both movies were made to appeal to a certain type of person, the kind of person I like to avoid. Do I think the cars suck? YES.

also for the record
when SCC got their hands on the cars, they had the shit kncoked out of them being filmed in 2f2f, no wonder they were so slow, you know what abuuse they got from making that?
When super street featured that skyline a few months before 2f2f, they said it was doing 11s in the 1/4 mile.
so think about it, after you run a car with out abusing it, it still looses power, but running from cops, jumping bridges, and all that other BS in the movie that they put it through, makes it a lot slower.

What is with all the hostility in this thread. I'm so sick of seeing everyone on the boards fighting all the time. If someone makes a post you disagree with, or its some stupid fight about some stupid cars in some stupid ricer movie, just forget about it. All the ricer cars, except the Skyline sucked in both of the movies. The muscle cars, and the Vipers, and Corvettes were the only good part in the moive. Guess, what, thats all just an opinion. We all have different opinions. Sorry for the vent, but this 2nd grade childish behaivor just pisses me off.

Very true. I didn't really think about that when I was writing, but my friend did the same thing. The best part about the Mines computers and similar ones is that you can adjust the bias instead of just turning it off. This comes in handy on the circut. If you just want to do burnouts, stick with a Laurel or Cefiro. They are light in the ass, great for drifting and can do some sick burouts.
